The first game of the 2007 season, I wasn't sure that I should have brought the Canon SLR with zoom lens. It was rainy and the other team didn't even make an appearance - so to speak. It was the beginning of an undefeated season for my son's team - the Middleton Cardinals and the beginning of some sports photography - old school: that is with 400 speed film, a 35mm Canon ae-1 with a zoom lens, an internal light meter with manual speed adjustments and audience seating. The film was developed at Walgreen's with a CD of the pictures. I doubt I will have this much to say for other photos here. I had fun working the light and the angles to get some sports shots. This had been an area of photography that I had little confidence or opportunity. My son? He's number 41 - second string corner/wide receiver with some work on special teams.
This is the only shot of the first game that I liked as a photograph - such is this blog of what I hope you will find as good photography. ~ shouldn't need to remind anyone about the rights and ownership of images, please respect this ~ John-Brian Paprock [jbp 2007]
